Linguistic and culinary diversity in Tallinn
The project deals with different aspects of interaction between food studies, linguistics, and cultural studies in urban space. Tallinn, as a modern globalized city with a long historical tradition of interaction between different ethnic groups, provides a lot of possibilities for research and creative presenting various kinds of data in this field. In the course of the project, students will develop their own research and creative projects using methods of different disciplines to reflect on diversity and the role of culinary practices in culture.
The aim of the project
The project aims at increasing students’ awareness of multiculturalism and diversity in Tallinn via developing activities centred around relations between different ethnic culinary traditions and language use.
