Organisation of mid-term session
The goal of the mid-term feedback sessions is to support group collaboration and achieving project goals. This is an intermediate stage where the project requirements are reviewed, including interdisciplinarity and scientific basis, and comprehensive support is provided to the LIFE groups.
The mid-term session is participated in by groups, meaning that if there are 18 students in the project (i.e., 3 groups), three different session times must be chosen for the project. Prior registration is required and the link for this, along with the corresponding deadline, can be found in the table above (sessions held in English are listed in red). The suitable time should be agreed upon by the entire group. Participation in the mid-term feedback session is mandatory for all group members, and absences must be justified to the project supervisor (not the LIFE coordinator).
Structure of the mid-term session: Each session lasts 2 hours and features 3 different groups. Each group has a total of 35 minutes:
-
15 minutes for the group presentation
-
10 minutes for discussion and feedback within groups
-
10 minutes for discussion led by the feedback giver
To participate in the mid-term session, each group must complete a mid-term report and prepare a presentation. The materials must be submitted by the team lead 3 days before the scheduled session date in the folder that the LIFE coordinator has sent to the group leader's TLÜ email address.
The content of the presentation slides should reflect the main points of the mid-term report:
- Participants and their fields of study
- Action plan
- The significance, objectives and problem statement of the project
- Why is it important to deal with this topic and what do you aim to achieve?
- What activities have you carried out and what do you plan to do during the semester? Which methods are you using?
- Which sources and studies do you rely on?
- What are the current problems or challenges? What kind of advice or opinions would you like to ask from your fellow students or the feedback provider?
When creating your presentation, think about the project’s theme and create visually engaging materials for the audience, creativity is highly encouraged!
