On the Edge of the Feminist Cyber Revolution: who's afraid of minerva?' digital magazine

The focus of this project is to promote the creation of a feminist, artistic, and academically oriented digital magazine, offering students the opportunity to contribute to a community endeavor, thereby developing their creativity and academic writing and visualization skills. The project aims to bring content to readers that dissects societal pain points and cultural phenomena in a way that strengthens community debate and empowers the voices of those who have been left behind in mainstream discourse.

The aim of the project

The project aims to promote the newly launched digital magazine platform by bringing readers a mix of academic and creative content that is meaningful yet engaging. We explore social issues, cultural events and phenomena, intriguing artists, innovative creations, and everything that tends to get lost in the noise. The digital magazine is based on an intersectional feminist perspective and thus makes different points of view and experiences visible, thereby spreading a multicultural and diverse worldview. Intersectional feminism examines the interaction of social characteristics (e.g., gender, race, sexuality, ethnicity) that guide people's experiences and behavior (DeFelice & Diller, 2019). By focusing on topics that are not often covered by the mainstream media, we give voice to those who are constantly forced to be silent.
