Fakenews, fakeworld, fakeidentity, trust yourself.

In project participants will identify a specific problem related to misinformation and misrepresentation, define a way of approaching that subject, which they will research in detail, they will elaborate a non-fiction audiovisual artistic work that directly dialogues with the subject and represents their critical vision of it. These projects will be made up of teams of four (one person from each Alliance member: UL-Lisbon, IADT-Dublin, BFM-Tallinn, LUCA-Brussels).

The aim of the project

Participants are asked to choose one line of research among three broad areas: 1. Fake News: undermining democracy and human rights, 2. Fake Authorship: authorship and stolen Identities. 3. Fake Happiness: Social networks, lifestyle and aspirational consumption. After this step, they must find a particular case that they will analyze in depth and that will serve as a starting point to finally make a nonfiction audiovisual work. The module promotes fact checking, dialogues and debates, critical thinking, while developing artistic and narrative skills in the field of nonfiction.
