Nature in Culture

Representations of nature in culture (literature, art, film, theatre, etc.)

The aim of the project

- To raise environmental awareness by looking at literature, books, films, culture and art. We will analyse the way the natural world (plants, forests, trees, water) are represented and also the way these items can be found in the real world - in our gardens, parks, flower or vegetable shops, by or in the sea. Moreover, we will scrutinise representation of nature and plants in literature and across different cultures, from poetic lines to most everyday cooking traditions.

- To attract a wider audience and create a discussion about the relationship of the culture world and the multicoloured world of nature.
