This project investigates the ways international students in Estonia form communities and share their cultures. Students will explore the channels and online platforms used for cultural connections, offering insights into the dynamics of these networks. This project provides an opportunity for students to examine the experiences of international students in Estonia, with the flexibility to choose between surveying or conducting short interviews as part of their exploration. It also includes a video-making component where students present a discovered community, capturing its online and offline activities.
"Beyond the Facade" is a transformative project through which students will explore the complex world of pseudo-activism, analyzing performative actions that mimic genuine engagement without creating substantive change. This project incorporates a filming component, allowing students to immerse themselves in role-playing these acts for their other fellow students in the project. By capturing audience reactions and gathering student self-reflections, it adds a dynamic dimension to the project, enabling us to interpret how the cause captures attention.
The project is inspired by the necessity to create an approachable way for language learners to discover museums. Language opens up the path to seek out more about culture, culture, on the other hand, inspires and motivates the language learner. Museums help understand culture and history better and can create a platform for many people from different backgrounds to share a sense of belonging and community. At the moment, most museums don't have a specific way to support language acquisition: you're either able to read and listen on the same level as the mother tongue speaker, or you're destined to use translated materials. We are in a position to change that.
The primary objective of this project is to explore the applications and potential benefits of telepresence robots in providing support and companionship for the elderly. Students will investigate how telepresence technology can be effectively integrated into elderly care settings to enhance social interaction, reduce isolation, and improve overall well-being.
This project aims to introduce and implement artificial intelligence tools into the process of learning about human rights at the University level. New learning and assessment methods will be developed and tested in order to enhance innovation in the process of knowledge transfer.
